Evaluation of management effectivess of fixed production assets of printing companies

The article determines that a decrease in the output of printed products in Ukraine in 2010-2015, as well as a reduction in the number of printing companies and publishing houses, increased competition in the market. These changes highlight the need for organizational arrangements in the management of fixed production assets in order to modernize equipment, to meet consumer needs and reduce the cost of production and services in the new market conditions. The purpose of the study is to determine the need for these activities. Most of the enterprises under investigation are members of the SJSC “Ukrvydavpoligraphiya”. For the effective operation of printing companies, a significant factor is an increase in the share of the active part of fixed production assets that are directly involved in production. When analyzing the change in the management performance of these assets over the period 2010-2015, the authors focus on their active part. The level of depreciation of fixed assets, especially their active part, requires immediate replacement with new equipment for most enterprises. The observed productivity growth is associated not with efficient operation of companies, but with increased prices and reduced number of workers due to a decrease in total production in kind. The analysis shows poor state management of fixed production assets of the researched printing enterprises and the need to take measures for its improvement.
